KAM's garden.

Re: KAM's garden.
Umer bhai, the green grass is due to a regular application of 30 grams of Urea, 30 grams of DAP, five grams of Humic Acid dissolved in some boiling hot water. That solution is put in a ten litre watering can (desi), the can is topped up with cold tap water and that solution i sprinkle on my lawn through a fine shower head. As the grass is Korean with deep roots, then i water the lawn well so that the fertiliser reaches the roots four inches deep.
As to the plants, i use the same fertiliser but the quantity is reduced by half of Urea, DAP. Humic acid i leave at five. This solution i use a a foliar feed, i sprinkle or spray it. This i give a little to the pots also. After ten minutes i wash/sprinkle it off the leaves and the excess goes to the pot.
Indoors i apply the above to the pots and for the plants i get water soluble fertiliser for foliar spray from garden centre.
Regards.

I am surprised.

Re: KAM's garden.
I"ve checked many forums and what I assessed is that only urea alone might suffice for a good turf. I use urea and DAP now with DAP in winter and Urea before spring.
Re: KAM's garden.
NPK the light blue one? What happened to that? Lawn only urea and a bit of humic acid as to the NPK and water soluble fertiliser it goes into the flower beds or as foliar spray. Weisa i dont see what the problem would be, if the blades(leaves) are turning yellow with out termites or any thing else being the reason then what will come into play? P or the K?
You can also get Ammonium Nitrate if you need plant cortisone.

Re: KAM's garden.
Yes i was thinking of that.Mainntaing nice turf is really an art.i apply DAP in winter, urea & humic acid in active months plus some micro fertilizer spray.the only difference is of grass.i prefer the Bermuda.
Re: KAM's garden.
Sorry but some posts are not in context, not just mine. They just were not there last night.
Yes, my main garden is my verge/roadside garden. Reason is in winters it gets sunlight from 11 AM to sunset and in summers, from 9.30 to sunset. My inside one marla lawn (Praise be to Allah, they are no more in fashion) gets sunlight from 1PM to 4 PM in winters and 11.40 to 5PM in summers. Eye candy cannot grow with out sunlight so my internal lawn is my nursery where i am preparing palms for the outside garden. These palms will remain in their pots because i dont want them larger than 12 feet. The pots will be sunk six inches into the soil for the roots to escape and boost their growth rates a bit. Once they cross 12 feet i will call my nursery walla and i have a feeling he will be happy to give me more then a dozen as replacement. Some F10 walla or DHA walla or Bahria walla will be quite willing to pay out of his nose, so every one wins.
Now to pots. Yes, due to limitations of space i am stuck with pots. No other option. Soil mix in the pots, normally i use one part sharp river sand, one part clay soil and one part manure. Open mixture so that the water can get into every corner plus free draining. Plain clay does not allow water to reach the root ball, drains out from the sides. I might put in a few gel chips for moisture lovers with a thin top layer of coir as mulch. For cacti i use one part of above mixture with one part of stone/marble chips(calcium loving) with a plain layer of stone chips on top. Cacti dont have much of a root system and the weight of chips also keep them stable and happy.
Sir jee Bermuda, Korean, Dhakka, American khabble what ever. Now they are just a matter of likes and dislikes warna each grass has it uses. Dhakka grass was once used on grassy foot ball fields. Hard usage and monkey tricks it could take well. American is a bit less hard but could take a bit of hard usage, formal gardens, mess nights. It does have a down side, goes into hibernation in winters while Korean is ever green but gets damaged if a person is not careful.
Grass and fertiliser. Urea and humic acid is mostly enough. I sell the idea of application via watering can due to even application and no risk of damage warna broadcasting by hand is ok. Tell you the truth, even a professional malli damages the grass while broadcasting urea by hand. Only our farmers can do it well.
Regards.

Re: KAM's garden.
Yellow might mean too much nitrogen so decrease urea.

Yes you are right.its matter of taste.i feed my turf when it goes into dormancy in winter.in spring it comes back with lush green foliage.i have both Bermuda(Mardan) & Korean(Islamabad)
Re: KAM's garden.
Yellow nitrogen burn? Yellow edges with brown. teaching your grandmother how to suck eggs?
Ok! What are the signs and symptoms of 1) Potassium deficiency? 2) What are the signs and symptoms of Phosphorus deficiency?
Next questions will be, what are the signs and symptoms of Magnesium, Boron, trace elements deficiency?
Which fertilisers are rich in trace elements like Boron, Magnesium, etc.
What is ruminant manure rich in?
What is bird manure rich in?
What is Guano and what is it rich in?
To get the answer to above questions do a Goggle search (its all there) and let us know.
Regards.
Just to make it easy.
Guano consists of ammonium oxalate and urate, phosphates, as well as some earth salts and impurities. Guano also has a high concentration of nitrates. Bird guano has a fertilizer analysis of 11 to 16 percent nitrogen, 8 to 12 percent equivalent phosphoric acid, and 2 to 3 percent equivalent potash.[1] Bat and seal guano are lower in fertilizer value than bird guano.
In agriculture and gardening guano has a number of uses, including as: soil builder, lawn treatments, fungicide (when fed to plants through the leaves), nematicide (decomposing microbes help control nematodes), and as composting activator (nutrients and microbes speed up decomposition).
As a piece of general knowledge, donkeys dung is mixed into clay along with other things to make clay stoves. Donkeys dung gives clay the strength to withstand the great heat with out cracking.

Re: KAM's garden.
No offences, I am a student who is curious, I know there are many a ways to skin a cat, KA Masoud is feeding his lawn Urea DAP and humic acid only and it works for him while Clemson University South Carolina USA Recommends (for Bermuda grass) NPK 4-1-2 in May and August and a booster dose of Urea or Ammonium Nitrate in March , June, July, October and December. Some also recommend occasional feeding of Iron. I use a little modified regime.
Masoud has a tiny lawn so can use a can to fertilise while mine are over an acre, the only practical method is spreading a granular fertiliser and flooding it.
I am of the opinion that Humic Acid is like vitamins that we do not require but still use them (a normal healthy mans diet has enough vitamins) and a soil fed with organic matter has enough Humic Acid.
The grass clipping are occasionally not removed for that end.
