Citrus advice needed.
I plan on growing a lemon, grapefruit and Lime tree in my yard. They are small plants, think rooted cuttings. My soil is very bad since there is a lot of "malba" which I encounter everytime I dig anywhere for more than 8 to 12 inches.I understand I need to go down till the malba is gone but I would like advice as to how deep and wide should I dig for these trees and what type of soil mix should I put in the hole? Any slow release fertilizer, bonemeal etc? With winter coming soon, how do I take care of these younger trees? Would it be best to pot them and keep in a greenhouse (even the greenhouse gets cold at night in winters) and plant in Spring? Thanks.

Re: Citrus advice needed.
Use 2$ pit for 1$ plant. Dig a 2X2X2 pit. Add half Kg manure and 1 Kg leaf compost to 8cuft of bhall or garden soil. Plant it now, winter will not bother them, eventually the roots will spread to about 10 feet in 5 years.
Feed NPK1-1-1, 100Gm of Nitrogen per year in divided doses per plant first year, 200 the second and 300 gms N the third year and so on.
Good luck
