garden update

i dont think i could manage a formal garden .. dont have the hang of it i guess !
since this is my first garden i guess i want to experiment at this time and its fun to add the unexpected in the garden ! and i do like the whimsy cottage garden feel so i guess im trying to get there in my own way .. but its a long way to get there !

the one of the any cyprus vines Tahir Khan gave me seeds for this one is planted outside my kitchen window so when im doing the dishes i can see its pretty red flowers and green foliage

so i made the decision to go and buy some grass finally ! i didnt get too much cuz i do want the ground covers to spread and the space on the left to put my veges and flowers.. so i put it around the pathway .. and now im thinking maybe the ground covers should be swapped with it ... sigh* maybe ill try it next year when they both spread some more !

the corner where i planted some ground covers .. now have some other plants too so its a cute little corner now with my gnome hiding with the mushrooms !

the caladium is kinda being over shadowed by the the coleus ,which has been growing alot !

.. just a thought a hanging pot or a container with coleus hanging down like this would look really nice.. what plants would you be adding with it ?

my first orchid bloom .. this isnt one of the babies i got from thailand, it was a fully grown plant i got after i realized mine would take atleast another 2 years to bloom !!

the update on my cacti is.. well the round cute ball in the back is dying .. its all squishy looking and yellowish now i think its the rains that got him .. very sad about it

the happy hoyas ... does any one have the yellow one ? i would like to have that as part of my happy hoya series !!

the beaumontia grandiflora Ahmad Irfan gave me seeds to ..
its growing ... at snail speed but im okay with that it has 3 years to grow and then bloom like mad !!!

Very beautiful and well arranged garden. Loved that cactus tray and hoyas.
